{"610288":{"#nid":"610288","#data":{"type":"news","title":"MentorTech: Professional Partnerships Celebrates A Successful Year  ","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe highly requested and inaugural employee mentoring program, MentorTech: Professional Partnerships, successfully concluded its debut.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe program received overwhelming interest from campus, and as a result, accepted 142 Institute employees into mentor\/mentee professional partnerships.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThese partnerships contribute to Georgia Tech Human Resource\u0026rsquo;s (GTHR) goal of improving and promoting workforce development. GTHR is exceptionally proud of the 2018 partners and their commitment to the program.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe six-month partnerships kicked off in February, and collectively the pairs invested more than 1,140 hours.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Serving as a mentor enriched both of our careers and provided us with a valuable, rewarding partnership,\u0026rdquo; said Klara Grodzinsky.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EProgram participants had diverse needs, and were matched based on their individual interest in one of the following categories: General Career Guidance, Work\/Life Transitions, Sponsor, and Technical competency.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;The paring of the mentor to mentee was \u003Cstrong\u003Esimply amazing.\u003C\/strong\u003E I was paired with a Mentor who was \u003Cstrong\u003Eidentical to the career trajectory I want to pursue,\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/strong\u003E said Shirley Taylor.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EProgram mentors and mentees shared their personal experiences and appreciated how flexible the program was at allowing participants to chart their own course.
