  <title><![CDATA[Portman Prize Studio Critic Lecture | Alan Organschi]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Alan Organschi will join the School of Architecture as the <a href="https://arch.gatech.edu/portman-visiting-critic-portman-prize">Portman Prize Studio Critic </a>for the Spring 2019 semester. On November 7, Organschi will present a lecture titled, &quot;The Carbon Positive City: Building in the Bio-Economy,&quot; where he will discuss the research taking place at Gray Organischi Architecture and Timber City and begin discussing the plans for research for the Portman Studio.</p>

<p><strong>About Alan Organschi</strong></p>

<p>Alan Organschi is the design principal and a partner at <a href="http://grayorganschi.com/">Gray Organschi Architecture</a>. Located in New Haven, Connecticut, the&nbsp;firm is recognized at the local, regional, and national level for its innovative conception and careful crafting of architectural projects that range from the adaptive re-use of damaged buildings and neighborhoods to the development and implementation of low-impact component assembly systems for ecologically delicate sites.</p>
