The position requires approximately two days per week of work which must be conducted at Hagley, and permits the Fellow to make use of a private office for his\/her own research activities in addition as well. It may be held in conjunction with other employment (eg teaching or fellowships) so long as those do not interfere with Hagley responsibilities, especially Thursday events.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EResponsibilities include:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ETo be present at Hagley on average two days per week, including attending and assisting as assigned at the Center\u0026rsquo;s author talks, seminars, conference, and brown bags.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EConduct research interviews with visiting scholars that will be included in the Center\u0026rsquo;s\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.hagley.org\/research\/programs\/stories-stacks\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener noreferrer\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EStories from the Stacks\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;program.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EObtain and edit blog articles from visiting scholars that will appear in\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.hagley.org\/research\/news\/scholar-projects\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener noreferrer\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EHagley\u0026rsquo;s Research and Collection News\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EPrepare promotional materials for the Center to post on Hagley\u0026rsquo;s web page and manage social media for the Center.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ENetwork with resident scholars at Hagley and enhance Hagley\u0026rsquo;s scholarly community.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEngage in and share personal scholarship while at Hagley.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECompensation:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E$24,000 for eleven months of work in a twelve month period\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EPrivate office and computer accessible during Hagley\u0026rsquo;s regular business hours\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EStatus as funded scholar, providing use of Hagley mail, Internet, interlibrary loan, etc.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E$1,500 for travel to scholarly events or for personal research.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ENo healthcare or other benefits provided\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EQualifications:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMaster\u0026rsquo;s degree in history or related discipline; ABD status or above preferred\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EResearch interests relevant to Hagley\u0026rsquo;s collections\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EExperience with programming and\/or event coordination\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EKnowledge of social media, spreadsheets, and web page software\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EWell-organized and self-motivated\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EApplication Procedure\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ESend a letter and c.v. to Roger Horowitz, Director, Center for the History of Business, Technology and Society, Hagley Museum and Library,\u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:rhorowitz@Hagley.org\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener noreferrer\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Erhorowitz@Hagley.org\u003C\/a\u003E.
