Responsibilities include daily duties such as greeting visitors, opening mail, answering phones, leading constituent tours, running errands, etc. Interns will also assist with legislative research, draft replies to constituent letters, draft memos, maintain press clips, and work on special projects. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to attend committee hearings, policy briefings, and sit in on Congressional meetings.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EProspective interns should be self-starters who possess strong writing skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and express an interest in policy-making and legislation. Georgia ties and interest in the policy areas of agriculture and financial services are a plus, but not required.
