Yaghi\u003C\/strong\u003E from Berkeley University, California, one of the most brilliant scientists working in the field of crystalline-porous solids research. He studied their use in the selective separation of CO2 from combustion gases and the capture of atmospheric humidity, a particularly innovative application for desert areas.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Cstrong\u003EEnergy Frontiers Award\u003C\/strong\u003E, for research on renewable energy sources and energy storage, was awarded to \u003Cstrong\u003EZhong Lin Wang\u003C\/strong\u003E from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta.
