{"606655":{"#nid":"606655","#data":{"type":"news","title":" Levine, Kosal, and Dhongde Selected for Emerging Leaders Program","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThree faculty members from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Art \u0026nbsp;\u0336\u0026nbsp; Aaron Levine, associate professor in the School of Public Policy, Margaret Kosal, associate professor in The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, and Shatakshee Dhongde, associate professor in the School of Economics \u0026nbsp;\u0336\u0026nbsp; have been selected for the third cohort of the Georgia Tech\u0026#39;s Emerging Leaders Program.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Emerging Leaders Program is an initiative of the Office of the Provost in partnership with the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (ILE) and the Office of Graduate Education and Faculty Development.\u0026nbsp;The program is designed to create an avenue to foster, mentor, and create a leadership climate among faculty that have attained tenure.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe nine-month program includes monthly workshops, as well as a weekend workshop in late October. Other program activities\u0026nbsp;include small group work, self-assessments, and 360-degree assessments.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ELevine is\u0026nbsp;director of Graduate Studies in the School of Public Policy. His\u0026nbsp;research focuses on the intersection between public policy and bioethics. Much of his recent work has examined the development of stem cell science, particularly research using human embryonic stem cells, and the oversight of contentious areas of medicine, such as assisted reproductive technology.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EKosal\u0026rsquo;s research explores the relationships among technology, strategy, and governance.
