  <title><![CDATA[Graduate Student Summer Intern Needed]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The Director of Professional Development and Postdoctoral Services in the Office of Graduate Education and Faculty Development is looking for a Ph.D. or masters student to assist with graduate student-focused career development projects this summer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Interested graduate students should send their resumes and/or queries to <a href="mailto:jana.stone@gatech.edu">jana.stone@gatech.edu</a>.</p>

<p>Here is a description of the internship and the application process.</p>

<ul>
	<li><strong>Start Date: </strong>May 14, 2018 or soon after</li>
	<li><strong>End Date:</strong> August 3, 2018</li>
	<li><strong>Hours/Schedule:</strong> 20-40 hours per week (&gt;20 hours will require Graduate Co-op registration)</li>
	<li><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> Commensurate with experience</li>
	<li><strong>Location: </strong>Professional Development Unit, Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development</li>
	<li><strong>Job Description: </strong>The Professional Development Unit is looking for a graduate student intern to assist with stakeholder analysis for potential career development initiatives for graduate students. Our interests include expanding co-op/internship opportunities, e-portfolios, and other unmet career and professional development needs of graduate students.
	<ul>
		<li>Duties may include:
		<ul>
			<li>Conducting interviews with graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers</li>
			<li>Collecting and analyzing data on career development programs and outcomes</li>
			<li>Benchmarking peer institutions&rsquo; programs and resources</li>
			<li>Drafting reports, literature reviews, and visual presentations</li>
			<li>Creation of web pages and/or online resources</li>
		</ul>
		</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li><strong>Qualifications: </strong>Current Georgia Tech Master&#39;s or Ph.D. student, preferably from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts</li>
	<li>Required to be registered for classes at Georgia Tech&rsquo;s Atlanta campus in Summer Session 2018 (e.g., will be taking summer classes or will register for the tuition-free Graduate Co-op credit)</li>
	<li>Excellent organization and time management, oral, and written communication skills</li>
	<li>Experience conducting interviews and/or focus groups is strongly preferred</li>
	<li>Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, and/or creation of web pages or e-portfolios would be a plus</li>
