{"605549":{"#nid":"605549","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Institute Diversity Seeks Nominations for the  Leading Women@Tech Program","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EInstitute Diversity is seeking nominations, including self-nominations, for the third cohort of the Leading Women@Tech program until May 8, 2018.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWith the support of the Office of the President, Institute Diversity launched \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/diversity.gatech.edu\/leadingwomenattech\u0022\u003ELeading Women@Tech\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;to facilitate women\u0026rsquo;s professional development and academic and administrative leadership, and to build a community of leaders across the Institute that will advance a culture of inclusive excellence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;We invite staff women to participate in Leading Women@Tech,\u0026rdquo; said Julie Ancis, associate vice president for Institute Diversity and co-director of the program. \u0026ldquo;Through this program, participants will continue to grow their leadership skills, cultivate greater self-awareness, and connect with other leaders.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ELeading Women@Tech is open to staff women who are in director-level positions and above at Georgia Tech. Following the nomination period, nominees will be invited to both apply and confirm their program acceptance next month.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe third cohort will start the program in October 2018, and their sessions will conclude during spring semester 2019. Program faculty, comprised of national and international thought leaders and expert coaches, will facilitate sessions in the areas of efficacy, emotional intelligence, intercultural communication, mindful leadership, multiple role management, negotiation, and networking, among others.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;For the third cohort, we are excited to introduce elements of storytelling and vision boarding to the curriculum,\u0026rdquo; remarked Pearl Alexander, executive director of diversity, inclusion, and engagement for Institute Diversity and co-director of the program.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAccording to survey responses, 100 percent of participants thought that the program was relevant, informative, and engaging. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETo submit a nomination, visit \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.diversity.gatech.edu\/leading-womentech-nomination-form\u0022\u003Ewww.diversity.gatech.edu\/leading-womentech-nomination-form\u003C\/a\u003E.
