Those who are selected to participate will be involved in grassroots organizing, membership engagement, volunteer recruitment, engagement, and management, policy research, strategic communications, coalition building, and integrated advocacy efforts under the direction of the members within the Political Department.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EInternship positions will be available in the following areas:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAthens: 3 positions\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAtlanta: 10 positions\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAugusta: 2 positions\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EColumbus: 2 positions\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMacon: 3 positions\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EResponsibilities\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThese\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;positions are unpaid\u003C\/strong\u003E, with flexible hours to accommodate schedules. However, a minimum of 20 hours a week is required for the\u0026nbsp;position.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EWorking with the Community Engagement Manager and Associate through assisting with event creation, planning, preparation, and\u0026nbsp;execution.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EPreparing policy briefs and memorandums for the Policy\u0026nbsp;Counsel.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EConducting necessary research for literature and Political Department\u0026nbsp;initiatives.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EProcessing volunteer recruitment intake; managing the corresponding\u0026nbsp;data.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAttending coalition meetings, building our grassroots\u0026nbsp;network.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis job description provides a general but not comprehensive list of the essential responsibilities and qualifications required.
