  <body><![CDATA[<p>We knew there would be significant media interest in this<a href="http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2018/03/13/1711611115"> study</a>, especially in the wake of one of the worst flu seasons in recent memory. <a href="https://www.math.gatech.edu/">School of Mathematics</a> Professor <a href="http://people.math.gatech.edu/~weiss/">Howard Weiss</a> joined <a href="http://www.emory.edu/home/index.html">Emory University</a> researchers in looking at how potentially infectious diseases are transmitted during flights. If you always try to get a window seat during air travel, you&#39;re giving yourself a better chance of avoiding colds and influenza, according to the study.
