The film illustrates not only how women in general are told to feel about their bodies, but also how women work to make their fat bodies seen in a world that would rather they remain hidden. Body acceptance activists explore the intersections of race and gender with fatness and find new and inventive ways to be proudly visible subjects through the strategic use of fashion and social media.

Lunafest
March 3, Student Center Theater, 5:30pm

Attend LUNAFEST and enjoy great films while supporting an important community cause. February 22nd-February 28th is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. If you think you may have an eating disorder, you are far from alone. There are different reasons why eating disorders happen, and different forms they can take (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder), but the one thing they all have in common is that they can have very serious consequences – not just on your academic record, but for your physical and mental wellbeing. During Campus Services Carnivale on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 students, staff, and faculty can complete an anonymous online screening for eating disorders. The screening takes less than 3 minutes. Follow #KnowYourScoreGT to learn about a month long campaign to encourage: Healthy Mind. Healthy Body. Recovery begins with the decision to try.

Georgia Tech’s annual Georgia Tech Campaign for EveryBody Week, will be held the last week of February.

Colleen Riggle
Women's Resource Center
colleen.riggle@studentlife.gatech.edu
