In this Buzz Course, a skill-building, experiential workshop series open to students, community members, faculty, and staff, we will examine the health of the Proctor Creek Watershed.\u0026nbsp; Guided by government officials from West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, US Fish and Wildlife (USFW), and Chatahoochee\u0026nbsp;Riverkeeper, participants will learn to: identify the hallmarks of a healthy stream and engage with watershed history; be trained in using nationally-standardized tools and techniques for monitoring water quality and ecosystem health; collect data as a part of a national, long-term stream monitoring project; and share their findings through the presentation and development of materials which can be used after the course by\u0026nbsp;the partners. The workshop will include field trips to local stream sampling sites, where participants may choose to dive-deep into data, or don waders and grab nets to directly take part in the sampling.
