2018 Proposal Period Opens for Strategic Plan Projects

As part of its mandate to support the Georgia Tech Strategic Plan, members of the Strategic Plan Advisory Group (SPAG) are actively soliciting proposals for new ideas in line with Institute goals.

Open to faculty, staff, and students, the proposal period coincides with fiscal year budgeting. This year, ideas that support either of two institutional initiatives — the Commission on Creating the Next in Education and the Library Next project — are of particular interest.

The deadline to submit a pre-proposal synopsis is January 12, 2018. SPAG will review concept proposals and submit its recommendations for funding to the Executive Leadership Team by mid-April. New funds will be available beginning July 1, 2018.

About the Strategic Plan Advisory Group
In May 2013, President G. P. “Bud” Peterson appointed a group of faculty and staff to work alongside Institute leaders to continue the implementation of the strategies and goals outlined in the strategic plan. The group serves to keep the discussion of strategic issues at the forefront and provides counsel to Institute leadership on the plan’s effectiveness and impact.
