{"599582":{"#nid":"599582","#data":{"type":"news","title":"From Airbnb to Analysis in Cryptocurrency: Data and Visual Analytics Course Probes the Apps and Utilities We Love Most","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EWhether you are searching for the better deal on a place to stay for your upcoming vacation or trying to decipher whether a news item is genuine, data and visual analytics techniques can uncover information that is not superficially apparent,\u0026nbsp;but that is immensely impactful.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EComputational Science and Engineering (CSE) course 6242\/CX4242 \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/poloclub.gatech.edu\/cse6242\/2017fall\/\u0022\u003E\u0026ldquo;Data and Visual Analytics\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/a\u003E, which is taught by CSE Assistant Professor \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/~dchau\/\u0022\u003EPolo Chau\u003C\/a\u003E, introduces students to techniques and tools for making sense of data at scale using trending and captivating subjects.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA final project poster presentation by the students of this course was held, Nov. 30, in the Klaus Atrium.
