  <body><![CDATA[<p>It&#39;s the newest must-try recipe for biofuel:&nbsp;Take used rubber tires, squeeze out recovered carbons, mix&nbsp;with sulfuric acid and&nbsp;fatty acids found in household vegetable&nbsp;oil, and&nbsp;<em>voil&agrave;! &ndash;&nbsp;</em>perfectly good,&nbsp;usable biofuel for&nbsp;a&nbsp;greener world. <a href="https://www.ornl.gov">Oak Ridge National Laboratory&#39;</a>s collaborative <a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/slct.201700869/full">study</a>&nbsp;with <a href="http://www.wfu.edu">Wake Forest University</a> and Georgia Tech scientists was co-authored by <a href="https://www.chemistry.gatech.edu/people/xia/younan">Younan Xia</a>, a professor in the <a href="http://www.chemistry.gatech.edu">School of Chemistry and Biochemistry</a>, and the <a href="https://www.bme.gatech.edu">Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering</a>.</p>
