We will discuss how the world of work is changing in the information age, how expertise in language and culture can contribute to the \u0026ldquo;wicked problems\u0026rdquo; of the 21st century, and how to get started on your own path.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents will learn the latest tools and best practices of Life Design as they prototype a starter kit for lifelong career growth. They will workshop both translational tools (e.g. resume) and strategic materials (e.g. a 10-year plan) to put their goals into action.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDesigned for Modern Languages majors, this course explores a variety of career paths that require expertise in language, culture and intercultural communication\u0026mdash;such as international business, non-profit, media, government, sustainability, and others based on students\u0026rsquo; professional interests.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EML 2811 is open to all majors in Modern Languages (ALIS, IAML, GEML).
