{"597917":{"#nid":"597917","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Connect with Tech Applications","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EConnect with Tech: What is your story?\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cem\u003EThis year marks the 25\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E\u0026nbsp;Anniversary of the Connect with Tech program.\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Connect with Tech program builds connections between prospective students, current Georgia Tech students and the GT community through intentional personalized experiences and programs.\u0026nbsp;We strive to expose admitted students to the social and academic community of Georgia Tech providing them with experience and insight that fosters a sense of fit with our campus and encourages them to enroll.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EGoals of CWT\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWe will\u0026hellip;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EProvide hosts with exceptional training regarding the promotion of GA Tech and its programs\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EProvide an enjoyable experience for prospective students.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMaintain CWT\u0026rsquo;s status as an unique and personalized visit experience\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EConnect with Tech was traditionally an overnight visitation hosting program housed in the Office of Undergraduate Admission.\u0026nbsp;For this school year we will no longer host overnight programs, but will continue to serve as ambassadors to visiting high school students and their families through individual interactions.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHosts will have the opportunity to serve in a number of ways including:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAcademic Outreach\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Being matched with students by major or college for individual interactions in person or virtually\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Escorting students to classes and hosting students for class shadowing\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nIndividual Outreach\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts can serve as hosts prior to daily Admission information sessions\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts can serve as Lunch\/ Coffee hosts for invited students and Gold Carpet Days\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts will participate in post-event follow up and admitted student postcard campaigns\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAdmitted Panels\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts will serve on student panels for Gold Carpet Day and Counselor events.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EVirtual Outreach\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts will create a video FAQ for prospective students\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts will participate in interactions on-line for prospective students such as Facebook Live, virtual student panels, chat nights\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026bull; Hosts will be matched with students for virtual connection and conversation via email, Skype etc.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHosts can live on or off campus, but must be able to participate in programming this Spring 2018.
