Georgia Tech named 2014's Best College or University to Hold a Meeting or Event

Georgia Tech was named 2014's Best College or University to Hold a Meeting or Event by Unique Venues, a marketing service that pairs one-of-a-kind venues with meeting planners looking for spaces out of the ordinary. Conference Services at Georgia Tech provides that unique opportunity for planners seeking residential accommodations and event space for summer residential conferences and camps. Conferences and camps include educational seminars, leadership groups, youth educational and sports, religious leadership, and fraternal organizations.

With seven full-time professional staff, and 30-40 student staff, planners know that they can concentrate on creating their program and marketing their event, and the Georgia Tech Conference Services staff will work on the logistics. This includes coordinating living arrangements, meals, transportation and meeting space, as well as finding things to do in Atlanta. Partnerships with fellow on-campus vendors facilitiate these communications, and the staff works year round to put on summer camps and conferences. With the addition of registration services in the past year, the Conference Services team can really do it all for the event planner.

<!-- Disquisition: it's funny how I write these TODOs and then never
revisit them. It's as though the act of writing the thing down frees me
