Opportunities will be presented for student and postdoctoral research funding and questions addressed regarding NSF priorities for educating the next generation of scientists.

Biography:
Currently a permanent program director in Molecular and Cellular Bioscienes, Karen C. Cone, Ph.D., recently retired from the University of Missouri where she was a professor in the Division of Biological Sciences for 21 years. Her research expertise is in plant genetics and genomics, with emphasis on epigenetic regulation of gene expression in maize.
