They are currently recruiting for a research specialist position in their Content \u0026amp; Communications department.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EResponsibilities\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ECollaborates with Heritage Werks Brand Historians and Archivists, as directed, to provide thorough and accurate historical research for Heritage Werks clients.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EConducts historical research in:\r\n\t\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\t\u003Cli\u003EClient archives held on-site at Heritage Werks (including clients\u0026rsquo; digital archives)\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\t\u003Cli\u003EOnline repositories (including identifying new valuable sources of relevant information, as needed)\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\t\u003Cli\u003ELocal public and academic libraries\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\t\u003Cli\u003EDistant archives including public and client collections (occasional travel required).\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EWrites up research findings using approved templates as appropriate for the assignment, whether in support of a larger research project by a Brand Historian or as a standalone research report.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EIs responsible for citing research sources as directed and for balancing thoroughness of research against time efficiency.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAssists with administrative duties such as scanning, copying and organizing documents, as needed.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAdditional duties, as assigned.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EReports to the Director of Content \u0026amp; Communications but may also be supervised in the office on a project basis by Brand Historians or others.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EQualifications\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAcademic training in historical research (M.A. in history or similar research-based field such as M.L.S.)\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EStrong research skills and proven track record of working successfully with primary and secondary sources, especially in 20\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E\u0026nbsp;century American history.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EPassionate sports fan with some knowledge of sports history required.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EArchival, library and\/or museum experience\/training preferred.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EFlexibility and proven ability to shift priorities quickly, as needed.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ECuriosity, patience, creative problem solving and attention to detail.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ECopyediting training a plus.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ESend your resume to Heritage Werks at\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:recruiting@heritagewerks.com\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Erecruiting@heritagewerks.com\u003C\/a\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Heritage Werks specializes in archival services and heritage communications.
