<p>The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road also known as One Belt, One Road (abbreviated OBOR) is a development strategy and framework, proposed by Chinese leader Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People&rsquo;s Republic of China and the rest of Eurasia, which consists of two main components, the landbased &ldquo;Silk Road Economic Belt&rdquo; (SREB) and oceangoing &ldquo;Maritime Silk Road&rdquo; (MSR).</p>

<p>This is a timely event given the recent Indo-China border conflicts in the region. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The China Research Center has reserved a table for 10 persons.&nbsp; If you would like to attend the event, please email Dr. Hanchao Lu (hanchao.lu@hsoc.gatech.edu)&nbsp;as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, September 11.&nbsp; Regular registration fee for the event is $50/person; your attendance as a CRC guest is free.</p>
