The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road also known as One Belt, One Road (abbreviated OBOR) is a development strategy and framework, proposed by Chinese leader Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People’s Republic of China and the rest of Eurasia, which consists of two main components, the landbased “Silk Road Economic Belt” (SREB) and oceangoing “Maritime Silk Road” (MSR).

This is a timely event given the recent Indo-China border conflicts in the region.   

The China Research Center has reserved a table for 10 persons.  If you would like to attend the event, please email Dr. Hanchao Lu (hanchao.lu@hsoc.gatech.edu) as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, September 11.  Regular registration fee for the event is $50/person; your attendance as a CRC guest is free.
