Sponberg, principal investigator in the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/s1.sponberg.gatech.edu\/people\/\u0022\u003EAgile Systems Lab\u003C\/a\u003E, gives a state-of-the-science report on animal locomotion;\u0026nbsp;how different physiological systems within a moth, for example, interact within the insect to enable movement, and how that\u0026nbsp;moth\u0026nbsp;interacts with its environment. Data arising from new studies of such\u0026nbsp;neuromechanics have applications for robotics.\u0026nbsp;Sponberg\u0026nbsp;is also an assistant professor in the School of Biological Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/bme.gatech.edu\/bme\/faculty\/Simon-Sponberg\u0022\u003EWallace H.
