The \u0022map\u0022 consists of four reports that attempt\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nto structure a Next Generation Identity Management universe and chart a destiny through a set of requirements and framework(s).\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe objective of this endeavor falls into the category of \u0022grand challenge,\u0022 but is an essential one for some reasonable level of cybersecurity as well as a broad ensemble of government, business, and consumer needs, including the holy grail of nomadicity - anytime,\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nanywhere, using any device, by anyone.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThis lecture also poses a potentially controversial implementation hypothesis that reaches back more than a hundred years to early open nomadic radio-based network infrastructures, and suggests that similar regulatory and global cooperative agreements serve as useful models.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EMr Rutkowski is Vice-President for Regulatory Affairs and Standards at VeriSign, Inc. A current major part of his current work includes Identity Management and security standards and law. He participates extensively in international standards and other bodies dealing with IdM\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nand security. He is a prominent engineer-lawyer whose career has spanned more than 40 years in industry and government in the U.S. and abroad.
