<p>Mr. Bogost, a professor of interactive computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, waxes more ruminative. His thoughtful book&nbsp;<strong>&ldquo;Play Anything: The Pleasure of Limits, the Uses of Boredom, and the Secret of Games&rdquo;</strong>&nbsp;(266 pages, Basic Books, $26.99) makes the point that life&rsquo;s limitations &mdash; as with the limitations of a game such as soccer or Tetris &mdash; are not impediments to our enjoyment, but rather, what make life or the game fun in the first place. It&rsquo;s a similar point to the one that Mr. Miller made in his preface, but this time around, instead of welling up, I nodded my head a lot. Yes, yes: so true.</p>
