In particular, I focus on the\u0026nbsp;hypersonic pillar-based surface phononic crystal devices that are actuated piezoelectrically\u0026nbsp;in a CMOS-compatible platform for signal processing applications in wireless communications.\u0026nbsp;In addition, I investigate membrane phononic crystal devices in silicon nitride (SiN)\u0026nbsp;as a new platform for efficient stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS).
