The ceremony marked the official transition of the building to the home of our Schools of Economics and History, Technology, and Society.

In a speech marking the dedication, Georgia Tech Provost Gary Schuster said that setting the Ivan Allen College Schools in a location central to the campus is symbolic of the importance of liberal arts as a foundation of a Georgia Tech education.

"In the 21st century, none of the key problems in our society will be solved by those who do not understand the liberal arts and collaborative education," said Dr. Schuster.
