Full Summary:

UPDATE: This event is FULL and no longer accepting registration requests.

A few seats are still available in the Summer 2017 grant writing workshop series. Priority will be given to postdoctoral scholars who apply by June 30, 2017.

This highly interactive and practical workshop series gives postdoctoral scholars the opportunity to learn the complete process of grant proposal development, from articulation of an idea to submission to the sponsoring agency. By the end of the 6-workshop series, participants will have completed a grant proposal suitable for submission to the agency and program of their choosing. The focus is on federal agencies, particularly the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, since these provide the majority of federal funds in the STEM disciplines. Participants will learn about one aspect of the proposal development process in each session, and then complete proposal-related assignments before the following session. Peer review of one another's drafts will also be used to provide additional feedback on proposal components.

Sessions will be 3-4:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday between July 11 and July 27.
