{"592022":{"#nid":"592022","#data":{"type":"event","title":"AESOP PhD Workshop, University of Aveiro, Portugal","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EFor more information, please visit the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/phdaesop.web.ua.pt\/\u0022\u003Ewebsite.\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe University of Aveiro will host the 2017 AESOP PhD Workshop, from the 5th to the 8th of July, at the city of Aveiro, in a joint endeavor with the three schools of the University of Lisbon \u0026ndash; Tecnico, Geography and Spatial Planning Institute and the Faculty of Architecture \u0026ndash; where the AESOP 2017 Congress will take place.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nThe 2017 AESOP PhD Workshop main theme\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cem\u003ESpaces of dialogue for places of dignity: challenges for planning research\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;is inspired on the Lisbon AESOP Congress title.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nIn the framework of this theme, we propose to address three main topics: \u0026lsquo;\u003Cem\u003Ethe nature of the normative dimension of planning\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026rsquo;; \u0026lsquo;\u003Cem\u003Espatial planning and multi-scalar complexity\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026rsquo;; and \u0026lsquo;\u003Cem\u003Eplanners and the dialectics between planning and the role of the State\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026rsquo;.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nWe hope that these topics can inspire and structure the debate between mentors and students about the content, methodology and aims of their PhD research projects.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPhD Workshop is an annual event for 30-40 PhD students from AESOP and non-AESOP member schools.
