For the fifth annual Atlanta Studies Symposium, to be held at the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.auctr.edu\/\u0022\u003EWoodruff Library of the Atlanta University Center\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;on\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EApril 26, 2017\u003C\/strong\u003E, we invite academics, citizens, and practitioners to investigate and explore past and present issues around equity and inclusion in the Atlanta metropolitan area.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis symposium poses the questions: How might we better understand the issues around equity that are specific to Atlanta? What are we talking about and\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003Enot\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003Etalking about, when we discuss equity in Atlanta? How might we design a future Atlanta that better serves all of its citizens?\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe fifth annual Atlanta Studies Symposium will feature a keynote address from Professor\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.rhodes.edu\/bio\/robinsonz\u0022\u003EZandria Robinson\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;of Rhodes College.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003EAbout Atlanta Studies\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EAtlanta Studies\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;is an open access, digital publication that features work from scholars, writers, artists, and activists who are writing the next chapters in our city\u0026rsquo;s story.\u0026nbsp; Examining Atlanta from a wide range of perspectives, we offer thoughtful analyses of the metro region\u0026rsquo;s past and present for a public audience.\u0026nbsp;We aim to be critical when addressing Atlanta\u0026rsquo;s problems and even be a tad boosterish when assessing its possibilities.
