After graduating from the Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization program, he spent a year as a Quantitative Analyst at D.E. Shaw and Co. Preferring academia to Wall Street, he returned to Georgia Tech as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics, where he applied for and received funding from NSF under grant DMS-0803214. He then received an Instructor's position at Princeton which led to his promotion to Assistant Professor.
