590204 news 1491920938 1491921021 <![CDATA[2011 High School Mathematics Competition]]> The 2011 High School Math Competition will take place on Saturday, 19 February 2011, on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, Georgia. As a brief overview, the HSMC is open to all high school students, with parallel tracks for Junior-Varsity (7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades) and Varsity (11th and 12th grades) competitors. A ninety-minute multiple-choice test will be used to choose semi-finalists and finalists, who will later take a written examination that emphasizes the logical steps of proof-based solution in addition to problem solving.
