<![CDATA[Outkast, Trap Music, and Social Justice Workshop and Panel]]>
Organized by Georgia Tech Office of the Arts, AASU, & OMED.
To trace not only the history of Hip Hop and Rap but specifically Atlanta rap and trap culture. Discusions will range from 90s Outkast music to contemporary Kendrick Lamar. Look at how the ideology of trap music plays into society, music, social justice issues, and the civil rights movement. Have discussions about how we see reflections of trap culture outside of what has been coined as trap music in a strictly modern context. Food will be provided.
Guests Panelists include:

- Nikki Barjon, Founder of The Barjon Group
- Dr. Joycelyn Wilson, Educator, Writer, & Hip Hop Scholar

- 5:30 - Mingling and eating

- 6:30 - Live Panel discussion with special guests
