Leading up to my first year at Tech, I was afraid of being in a smaller major; I was afraid I would have fewer resources or limited access to activities I wanted to be involved in like research and internships. What I found in the Ivan Allen College was exactly the opposite. I had direct access to myprofessors and advisors which made it easy to build relationships with them. Public Policy at GT focuses largely on this student-faculty interaction, which helped me become a Research Assistant for two of my professors. I have loved working with these research teams and gaining the experience I\u0026rsquo;m going to need later in both my academic and professional careers.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFreshman Audra Murphey in our School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech has made the most out of her freshman year. In addition to getting involved with research, Audra is a member of the Student Advisory Board - Ivan Allen College of Liberal Artsand a recipient of the Federal Jackets Fellowship, a $5,000 stipend designed to support Tech students working unpaid internships in Washington, DC.
