Karim Adiprasito, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
June Huh, Princeton Universty and IAS
Eric Katz, University of Waterloo

These 3 speakers proved Rota's 45-year old conjecture on the log concavity of the characteristic polynomial of matroids.
