They were great representatives of the School of Mathematics, skillfully answering questions and responding to comments from the Board. It was very clear that the Board was enthusiastic and appreciative.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis meeting was also an opportune time to introduce \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/d6.math.gatech.edu\/users\/ulmer\u0022\u003EDoug Ulmer\u003C\/a\u003E as the next Chair.\u0026nbsp; In addition, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/d6.math.gatech.edu\/users\/trotter\u0022\u003ETom Trotter\u003C\/a\u003E was honored with the College of Sciences Gretzinger Award.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe entire School of Mathematics team, including Associate Dean \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/d6.math.gatech.edu\/users\/harrell\u0022\u003EEvans Harrell\u003C\/a\u003E worked hard to position the School as a strong research unit, but also one that understands and embraces our pivotal role here at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Silas Alben, Christine Heitsch and Hao-Min Zhou made highly effective presentations to the College of Sciences Advisory Board.
