They started a biotech company, AgroSpheres, which\u0026nbsp;gives farmers precise control over their harvesting schedule by degrading excess pesticides into a non-toxic derivative.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA team of four students from Virginia Tech finished second and earned $10,000. They created Kare Powder, a topical, advanced wound care dressing that allows for faster and more effective healing for chronic patients.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EEach of the 15 universities in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) selected a team of student entrepreneurs for the competition, which was held\u0026nbsp;at Georgia Tech.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe tournament is modeled after \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inventureprize.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EGeorgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s InVenture Prize\u003C\/a\u003E, which started in 2009.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECauteryGuard \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.news.gatech.edu\/2017\/03\/16\/cauteryguard-wins-inventure-prize\u0022\u003Ewon\u003C\/a\u003E this year\u0026rsquo;s InVenture Prize.
