Seth Marder @ CCHF Virtual Symposium on C-H Functionalization

A virtual symposium on C-H functionalization will take place Tuesday, March 28th at 4 PM in Howey (Physics) 081 (please see accompanying flyer). Through Georgia Tech's involvement with the NSF Center for Selective C-H Functionalization (http://www.nsf-cchf.com/), this C-H symposium will be open to all School of Chemistry and Biochemistry professors, staff, and students. This symposium provides an opportunity to discover and discuss topics at the frontier of synthetic chemistry. The speakers include our own Seth Marder, along with Sarah Reisman (CalTech), Erik Sorensen (Princeton), and Peter Zhang (Boston College).

Seth Marder, Georgia Tech - Advances, Challenges and Opportunities for Direct C-H Bond Functionalization in Materials Chemistry

Sarah Reisman, CalTech - C-H Functionalization as a Strategic Tactic in Natural Products Synthesis

Erik Sorensen, Princeton University - Seeking Opportunities for C-H Functionalization Methods in Natural Product Synthesis

Peter Zhang, Boston College - Stereoselective Radical C-H Functionalization via Metalloradical Catalysis
