KNIT is founded on four tenets of engagement with new students as represented by our name--Knowledge, Nurture, Interaction, \u0026amp; Tradition.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWe strive to do this through personal 1-1 mentoring relationships with successful upperclassmen students. KNIT also hosts multiple events during the fall semester to help new students meet other first years and mentors that can assist with their transition at Georgia Tech.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003EKNOWLEDGE\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBy pairing with upperclass mentors, we strive to provide academic support, advice, and direction from experienced students to students navigating their first semester of classes at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003ENURTURE\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EKNIT aims to nurture personal growth with each of their mentees based on their personal goals for their first year and entire college career at Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003EINTERACTION\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EKNIT understands the mentoring and personal growth goes beyond a 1 on 1 relationship. The importance of community building and group interactions is also important in the success of our new students at Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003ETRADITION\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOne of the things that makes Georgia Tech so unique is the tradition that exists within our community.
