Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory, for outstanding contributions to medical robotics at the micro, meso, and macro-scale.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESathya Gourisankar\u003C\/strong\u003E, professor of the practice and director of the Biomedical Innovation and Development Program in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory, for outstanding contribution in medical device product development and transformative leadership in developing a professional master degree program in medical devices.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMachelle Pardue\u003C\/strong\u003E, professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory,\u0026nbsp;for outstanding contributions to understanding and treating blinding diseases, and for extraordinary service to the field.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country. The most accomplished and distinguished engineering and medical school chairs, research directors, professors, innovators, and successful entrepreneurs, comprise the College of Fellows.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAIMBE Fellows are regularly recognized for their contributions in teaching, research, and innovation. AIMBE Fellows have been awarded the Presidential Medal of Science and the Presidential Medal of Technology and Innovation and many also are members of the National Academy of Engineering, National Academy of Medicine, and the National Academy of Sciences.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA formal induction ceremony will be held during AIMBE\u0026rsquo;s 2017th annual meeting at the National Academy of Sciences Great Hall in Washington, DC on March 20, 2017. Botchwey, Desai, Gourisankar, and Pardue will be\u0026nbsp;inducted\u0026nbsp;along with new colleagues who make up the AIMBE College of Fellows Class of 2017.
