The State of Georgia as a whole has a significant flu outbreak occurring. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to do the following:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EStay home if you are sick with fever and cough\/sore throat; don\u0026rsquo;t spread the flu to others.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ECover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EDo not share drinking glasses, eating utensils, water bottles.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EWash your hands frequently with soap and water or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EGet a flu shot if you have not done so already!\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIf you get the flu, treatment with antiviral medications such as Tamiflu is available, but is most effective when started within 2 days of symptom onset.
