Organized by the Student Government Association with support from Georgia Tech's Office of Government and Community Relations, this event is a unique opportunity for students to get a first-hand look at state government during the legislative session and to learn more about how the goings-on at the Capitol affect them as students and residents. The gathering is attended by students and legislators with an affiliation with Georgia Tech together with Georgia Tech alumni and friends who work in and around the Capitol. Georgia Tech students are welcome to attend by registering online at the link below. Attendance is granted on a first come, first served basis until all space is full via the registration site.  Free transportation is provided from campus to and from the Capitol.

This year, we are proud to partner with students from Georgia's four research institutions that will also host days at the Capitol on February 1st: Georgia Institute of Technology, Augusta University, Georgia State University, and University of Georgia. As a special addition to the event this year, students who are available to attend the full day of activities will participate in a joint lunch convocation program with the other three schools to hear from an impressive panel of elected leaders and public officials.

8:00AM - Students depart campus on Stinger buses for State Capitol
8:30AM - Breakfast and networking with elected officials and staff members
9:15AM - Photo on Capitol steps with President Peterson
10:00AM - Session begins, viewing from House and Senate galleries
*10:30AM - Students not staying for lunch program depart Capitol
11:15AM - Joint lunch program with panel of alumni legislators and state officials
12:30PM - Final bus departs from Capitol to campus
