OIR is the central external representative of international programs at the Smithsonian and leads institutional relationships with US government and international organizations, including the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, foreign embassies, and other governmental and private organizations in the U.S. and abroad.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe intern will work with the supervisor to set goals and will be guided by the following general learning objectives:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAssist with the flow of incoming international visitors, including logistics, communications and\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EUse technology to support and expand services offered by the\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ESupport with organizing and managing programming for internationally-themed\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EResearch and document the international activities carried out by the institution throughout its\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEngage with various members of the OIR team to provide project management\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EOther duties to be decided as\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EQualifications:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003EThis position is designed for a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate student or a recent graduate.
