Taught by\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.davidjoyner.net\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EDavid Joyner\u003C\/a\u003E, adjunct faculty in the College of Computing and instructor of record for multiple OMS CS courses, the lecture portion of this section will be completely online on the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.edx.org\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EedX\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;platform, with weekly in-person TA recitations for those who wish to attend.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe course will be powered by\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.mheducation.com\/highered\/platforms\/smartbook.html\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ESmartBook technology\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;-- research-driven machine intelligence that weaves together learning and assessment, resulting in a personalized learning pathway -- created by McGraw-Hill Education.\u0026nbsp;Both Dr. Joyner and Dean Zvi Galil will attend the first recitation to answer\u0026nbsp;questions\u0026nbsp;about course content or its online nature.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis section is an experiment. OMS CS has proven a tremendous success and we hope to offer a similar online learning environment to those undergraduate students who wish to participate. This is more than a \u0026ldquo;flipped classroom\u0026rdquo; - this is the first opportunity for Georgia Tech on-campus students to take a course online.
