583143 news 1477490158 1477493182 <![CDATA[In Memoriam: Hernando Jimenez]]> Hernando Jimenez, 36, a Research Engineer II working in Georgia Tech’s Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory, died October 23, 2016.

A native of Colombia, Jimenez was a three-time graduate of Georgia Tech, most recently earning his doctoral degree in 2009. As a research engineer in ASDL, he led a number of major research projects in the areas of systems analysis of unmanned air systems, environmentally responsible aviation, and next generation technologies.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 2 p.m. His visitation will be on Wednesday, October 26 from 5 – 7 p.m. Both will be held at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA.

The sympathy of the entire Georgia Tech community is with the Jimenez family as they grieve their loss.
