Nagela Nukuna won the presidency for Undergraduate SGA and Shane Mudrinich was elected executive vice president.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGet to know a bit about Nukuna and Mudrinich, why they wanted their jobs, and what they hope to accomplish this year.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003ENagela Nukuna\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMajor: Industrial Engineering\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EYear: 4th\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EHometown: Newark, Delaware\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAs president of Undergraduate SGA, Nagela Nukuna is in charge of leading the organization and its members. She creates initiatives and policies that support students\u0026rsquo; experiences and opinions.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ENukuna describes herself as bubbly, caring, and a little Type-A. She loves the city of Atlanta and enjoys grabbing a bite to eat at Figo with friends. One of her favorite memories of Tech is being a Georgia Tech Ambassador. She joined as a sophomore and loves the group of leaders she gets to work with. She\u0026rsquo;s also involved with Omicron Delta Kappa.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I want Tech to be the best place it can be for students,\u0026rdquo; Nukuna said. She plans to spend the year listening and seeking out ideas, making a conscious effort to include all students, and advocating for her peers by making sustainable\u0026nbsp;goals and policies\u0026nbsp;that put them at the forefront of the Institute. \u0026ldquo;I want to invest in that wholesome student experience.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ENukuna is passionate about establishing better relationships between students and professors. \u0026ldquo;I want to make communication less jarring \u0026mdash; students in fields outside of business and liberal arts should feel like their professors care.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003EShane Mudrinich\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMajor: Biochemistry (Pre-Health Sciences)\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EYear: 4th\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EHometown: Peachtree City, Georgia\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShane Mudrinich serves as the executive vice president of Undergraduate SGA. He works with SGA\u0026rsquo;s executive cabinet to implement their goals on campus, and he also works with administration to make Tech a better place, supporting various campus initiatives such as\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/endsuicide.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ETech Ends Suicide Together\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn his free time, Mudrinich likes to relax by spending time on the water. His favorite memory at Tech is when the Jackets defeated Florida State at last year\u0026rsquo;s Homecoming game. He stays busy participating in Phi Gamma Delta, Tech Beautification Day, Georgia Tech Ambassadors, FASET, Omicron Delta Kappa, Tech the Halls, and the KNIT Mentorship Program.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Nagela, the whole Executive Cabinet, and I are unified in our goals of improving the Georgia Tech student experience in the areas of campus services and infrastructure, technological resources, cultural and diversity inclusion, and community wellness,\u0026rdquo; Mudrinich said. He recommends that students view SGA\u0026rsquo;s high-level goals\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1nJI26U_RMsUZQvIFbpZ6MPFIpDPhKQIMh2wdWT0Yz-w\/edit?usp=sharing\u0022\u003Ehere\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis year, Mudrinich is excited to welcome an\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.scheller.gatech.edu\/centers-initiatives\/ile\/excel\/index.html\u0022\u003EExcel\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;student as part of the SGA cabinet. \u0026ldquo;We\u0026rsquo;re committed to a culture of inclusivity and diversity and we can\u0026rsquo;t say that without doing it ourselves,\u0026rdquo; he pointed out.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003EMajor Goals\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ENukuna, Mudrinich, and the entire cabinet have big plans for the upcoming year. They hope to improve the technological resources that students interact with on a daily basis, like Nextbus and the SGA website. \u0026ldquo;We\u0026rsquo;re very data driven,\u0026rdquo; Nukuna said.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThey\u0026rsquo;re also working to make it easier for students to receive excused absences for events like the career fair.
