The department is a partnership between Emory University\u2019s School of Medicine and Georgia Tech\u2019s College of Engineering.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u201cThis ranking is a testament to the excellence of our faculty, staff and students, and to our culture of \u2018fearless problem solving\u2019 and effective communication that prepares our graduates for complex-real world challenges\u201d, said C. Ross Ethier, interim chair of the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering.\u0026nbsp;\u201cFurther, the synergy between Georgia Tech Engineering and the Emory School of Medicine is part of the magic that makes our program outstanding.\u201d\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech\u2019s College of Engineering moved up one position to fourth for undergraduate engineering programs at institutions that award doctoral degrees. The college also continued with solid rankings in its engineering programs, with all of its programs ranked in the top 10 of their disciplines and in the top five among public institutions. The undergraduate biomedical engineering degree program moved up from number three to number one. Biomedical engineering joins the George H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering as number one ranked programs within the College of Engineering.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cI\u2019m proud to see our College recognized year after year as one of the country\u2019s best,\u201d said Gary S.
