The Tech recently was listed among the top world universities in engineering and technology in two separate global rankings. Georgia Tech ranked eighth on the list of the world's top universities in engineering and information technology prepared by the Times Higher Education Supplement-QS. The list, considered the definitive university ranking guide in the , was compiled though a study conducted by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) and published in the Times Higher Education supplement, an independent annual education survey.
