The qualified candidate must be extremely reliable, organized, flexible, detail oriented, creative, able to work on tight deadlines, and able to function both independently and in a close work space.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe job is approximately 6 - 10 hours per week, paying $10 per hour. \u0026nbsp;Students are not required to be in the federal work-study program to apply. \u0026nbsp;The job runs through the fall 2016 semester and can be extended through spring 2017 as well. \u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cem\u003EDuties of the position include:\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ebasic office work (copying, filing, compiling mailings, etc.);\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Emaintaining the HSOC blog using the GT Mercury news and events system;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Emaintaining the HSOC Twitter feed, Facebook page, and other social media;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ecreating hard copy and digital advertising;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Emaintaining databases of HSOC alums and prospective students;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ecreating the weekly HSOC newsletter using MailChimp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Ecreating the yearly HSOC newsletter (12+ page PDF); and\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eother duties, as assigned.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ERequired skills include:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eexcellent writing and oral communications skills (including proof reading);\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eability to learn new programs quickly;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eability to work independently and meet deadlines;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eproficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eexperience with Google docs and forms; and\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eability to create digital and print media, such as flyers, brochures, digital ads, etc.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPreferred skills include:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eexperience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; and\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003Eexperience maintaining websites using a content management system such as Drupal.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWant to apply? \u0026nbsp;Email your resume and a statement about your relevant experience to Dr. D\u0027Unger at\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:amy.dunger@hsoc.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Eamy.dunger@hsoc.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E.
