57265 event 1274792177 1475891144 <![CDATA[Israel Consulate General Fall Internship Opportunity (Deadline: 7/10)]]> The Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast, headquartered in Atlanta, is looking for creative, motivated and responsible undergraduate or graduate students with knowledge of the Middle East for an internship for Fall 2009. Deadline for application is Friday, 10 July 2009.

Interns will have the opportunity to work in one or more of the following departments with both everyday tasks and individual projects:

*Academic Affairs Working with educational institutions and programs
*Minority and Community Outreach Strengthening relationships with different communities
*Media Relations Writing press releases, Op-Ed's, speeches and working with local media
*Political Affairs Researching current US Politics
*Cultural Programs Developing cultural events

Interns are selected based on their professionalism; writing, research, and computer skills; enthusiasm for international affairs; and understanding of the Middle East. Preference is given to students available at least 2 days per week. The interns should be available for at least 10 hours per week.
