  <title><![CDATA[Housing News]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>New or returning Georgia Tech students who wish to live in on-campus housing for the Spring 2017 semester may apply <a href="https://login.gatech.edu/cas/login?service=https%3a%2f%2fstarrez.housing.gatech.edu%2fstarrezportal%2fSite%2fGATECH%2fCAS.aspx">online</a> beginning mid-September. Residents who are on campus this fall already have an academic year housing contract which includes both fall and spring semesters, and no action is required for spring housing.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Current residents are not required to move out of their residence hall during the semester break in December; however, please note the following dates <strong>before</strong> making travel arrangements:</p><ul><li>Saturday, December 17 by NOON: Move out for all students not residing on campus Spring 2017</li><li>Sunday, December 18 by NOON: Move out for graduating students</li><li>Sunday, December 18 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.: Room switch</li></ul><p>NOTE: To avoid unnecessary penalty charges when terminating the housing contract for acceptable reasons, we encourage your student to read and follow the instructions in “VI. CONTRACT TERMINATION BY STUDENT - AFTER CONTRACT BEGINS” of the <a href="http://housing.gatech.edu/policies/Housingcontract/Documents/2016-2017%20Student%20Housing%20Contract.pdf" target="_blank">2016-2017 ACADEMIC YEAR CONTRACT</a>.</p><p>If your student resides with us now or will in the future, we hope that his/her experience in our housing is positive and promotes academic success.
